Resetting your password does not recover your information — it deletes it.
Your data is encrypted with a key that only your password can unlock. That is what stops anyone reading it if our servers are ever stolen. It also means nobody can open your data without the password: not you, not our support team, not us.
So a reset gives you a working account with nothing in it.
Before you reset: ask anyone else in your household — they may still be signed in on a phone or tablet, and can read the password out or download your data from the account page. That is how to keep it.
